Understanding mental health
Mental health concerns can affect your energy, relationships and everyday life. A conversation with a doctor is a practical first step towards understanding what you are experiencing and finding support that fits your circumstances.
Reasons to speak with a doctor
- Persistent worry or feeling overwhelmed
- Low mood, loss of interest or reduced motivation
- Sleep difficulties and stress affecting daily life
How our doctors can help
- Discuss your symptoms, wellbeing and medical history in a confidential consultation.
- Explore psychological support, lifestyle strategies and medication options where appropriate.
- Consider referrals and a follow-up plan, including whether an in-person assessment is needed.

Your questions, answered
Can I talk about anxiety or depression online?
Yes. A doctor can discuss your symptoms and support options by telehealth. Some concerns need an in-person assessment or ongoing care with your regular GP or mental health professional.
Will I receive medication or a mental health care plan?
Neither is guaranteed. The doctor will assess what is appropriate and explain any further appointments, eligibility requirements or referrals needed.
Can every condition be treated online?
No. Telehealth is suitable for many non-emergency concerns, but some symptoms need a physical examination, tests or urgent care. Your doctor will explain when an in-person visit is the safer option.
Are doctors available 24/7?
Yes. ConsultNow offers doctor consultations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays. Waiting times depend on demand.
Will I definitely receive a prescription?
No. All prescriptions, referrals and medical certificates depend on your doctor assessing what is safe and clinically appropriate. Booking a consultation does not guarantee a particular treatment.
